Biography


Radio host, TV host, YouTuber, lifestyle entrepreneur, actor, and author Toke Makinwa is from Nigeria.

She was conceived on November 3, 1984. As of 2022, Toke Makinwa will be 38 years old.



Toke is a multitalented person who has studied all facets of the Nigerian film business and has garnered numerous accolades throughout her career.

On Becoming, her book was published in November 2016. She is also among the top five female program hosts in Africa.




Education

Before moving on to the University of Lagos, Toke completed her secondary education at the Federal Government Girls' College in Oyo State. There, she earned a bachelor's degree in English and literature.

Career

In 2010, Makinwa co-hosted The Morning Drive program on Rhythm 93.7 FM, which marked her significant media debut.

She presided over the 2012 edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant, which was live-streamed throughout Nigeria.

On Flytime TV, she co-hosted the show 3 Live Chicks with Tosyn Bucknor and Oreka Godis. Before it was broadcast on terrestrial television in late 2012, the show debuted as a web series.



In 2012, Makinwa launched her YouTube vlog series Toke Moments.

In January 2014, Makinwa was selected to serve as the anchor of the interview and debate program Trending for Hip Hop World Magazine. She also started hosting Moments, the main program on EbonyLife TV.

Makinwa has organized several significant occasions, such as the Headies Awards in 2014 and the Future and City People Awards in 2013.


The Voice Nigeria's third season will premiere in March 2021 with hosts Toke Makinwa and Nollywood actress Nancy Isime.

On October 16, 2021, Toke Makinwa was revealed as the season 12 presenter of Gulder Ultimate Search.



Her brand-new television program, "Talk With Toke Makinwa," debuted on MultiChoice in November 2021.

Toke portrayed Louise in Bunmi Adesoye and Abimbola Craig's Glamour Girls in 2022.

Marriage

Toke Makinwa was married to Maje Ayida before they separated in a messy divorce after her husband was accused of committing adultery.

Net worth

Toke agreed to a multi-million naira deal with Nestlé Nigeria to take on the role of the new Maggi spokesperson. She was named the face and brand ambassador of Mecran Cosmetics in 2016.

She has additionally served as a spokesperson for Ciroc, Payporte, and Oppo Mobile Telecommunications.

According to reports, Toke Makinwa is worth N220 million. NewsWireNgr, however, is unable to independently confirm this.
