Early life

Eva Pigford, Sterling's birth name, was in Los Angeles, California. Her middle name Marcille is a combination of the names of her grandmothers, Lucille and Marjorie. 
Both of her parents are of African descent. She went to Marina Del Rey Middle School, Washington Preparatory High School, and Raymond Avenue Elementary School (2002).
She was a student at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia, but she dropped out shortly after turning 19 and taking home the title of America's Next Top Model's third season.



Career

Marcille defeated fellow finalist Yaya DaCosta to win America's Next Top Model's third season in 2004. She won a CoverGirl cosmetics contract, a spread in modelling, and a contract with Ford Models for modelling.

Marcille has been featured on the covers of Brides Noir, Women's Health and Fitness, King, IONA, and Essence in 2005.

Her other modelling work has been included in advertisements for CoverGirl, DKNY, Samsung, Red by Marc Ecko, Jewel, In Touch Weekly (June 2005), King (November 2005), WeTheUrban, IONA, UNleashed, Star Magazine, Elle, Elle Girl, Apple Bottoms, Lerner Catalog, Avon Campaign 4, and Rolling Out.

Marcille's run annuals feature the Marc Bouwer Fall 2005, Gharani Strok Fall 2005, Deborah Lindquist Spring 2006, Naqada Spring 2006, the 8thAnnual "Models of Perfection" Show (2006), and L.A. Fashion Week's Monarchy Collection Fall 2007.



Marcille quit her position at Medina and Tymodeling on November 15, 2006. She formally eliminated the "Pigford" from her name after leaving Banks and Medio for new management and is now known as Eva Marcille (her middle name). She has said that she did this to secure acting parts rather than exploit her modelling popularity to break into acting.

L.A. Models has a contract with Marcille. She was highlighted on the CW's America's Next Top Model: Exposed. Additionally, she has been highlighted as one of CoverGirl's Top Models in Action.

Television work

Marcille has appeared as a guest star on several UPN and Tin CW Network episodes. She appeared as herself in one episode of The Game, two episodes of Kevin Hill, one episode of Smallville, two episodes of Everybody Hates Chris and two episodes of Kevin Hill as a guest star. Additionally, Marcille can be seen in Tyler Perry's House of Payne.


Marcille made an appearance in the French rapper Rohff's video for "J'accélère (I accelerate)" in August 2013.

Marcille played Tara in the TV One series Born Again Virgin's main cast on August 5, 2015.

She appeared in the reality series "About the Business" in February 2016.



Personal life

Marcille started dating actor Lance Gross in July 2006. On December 24, 2008, the couple exchanged vows, then they broke up in March 2010. Rapper Flo Rida was her partner from 2010 to 2012. Marcille's previous union with Kevin McCall produced a daughter. In the spring she and McCall divorced, with Marcille claiming custody of the theatre. She disclosed that her daughter's last name had been officially changed from McCSterling in August 2019.

In December 2017, Eva and Atlanta-based lawyer Michael Sterling got engaged.

Their wedding day was October 7, 2018.

The two sons of the movie were born in April 2018 and September 2019, respectively. She also started the CBD oil firm caved in 2019. Maverick, her son, was born while the business was beginning to operate.
